Sampler - A Little of This, A Little of That |

These 16” finished blocks can be put together in a sampler or use them individually to make one quilt, a wall hanging, table runner, pillow, etc. Each block will be taught as a separate class and different techniques will be used in each block. There will be appliqué – both hand and machine, inset pieces, curved piecing, paper piecing, freezer paper templates and more. Lots of discussion about color value! Patterns are included as part of the class. Skill level – Intermediate with a desire to learn different techniques Class dates are Mondays at 6:30 – 9:00pm Cost - $25 per class (sign up for one or all!)

PEONIES – Use that 45 degree angle on your ruler! There will be some appliqué – your choice of machine or hand – both will be demonstrated. Monday, February 4 th |

GARDEN STAR – This star is appliquéd on top of a background. Create the star using an inset piece and an appliquéd center for dimension. Monday, March 3 rd |

Royal Dresden – Machine pieced and appliquéd on a background. You choose to hand or machine appliqué the center. Monday, April 28 th |
Oak Wreath – You could try machine appliqué, but the hand appliqué works best. The dimensional leaves and berries give this block an elegant look – especially for fall. Monday, May 26 |

Fans – Learn a curved piecing technique using freezer paper templates – a method taught by Ruth McDowell. Works every time! Mon June 23 |

LeMoyne Star – Afraid of inset seams? This block uses pieces large enough to give you the confidence to try the technique on other blocks. Stunning results. Monday – August 11 |

Scrappy Sampler – 8 Different blocks, On Point Setting, Wide Border Vertical Sashing. Learn some piecing techniques you might not have tried before, plus a little taste of curved piecing and some appliqué. Make the entire quilt in 5 sessions (making two blocks each class) with most of the work completed in class –
